Get into the Great Outdoors
Does your mom always tell you to go outside and play? Little do you know she is absolutely right! The best place to exercise is outside. All of those trees and plants outside do more than look pretty—they feed your muscles and lungs with oxygen.

Each time we breathe in, we pull oxygen into our lungs. Our blood travels by our lungs, picks up the oxygen, and carries it to our muscles and organs. The muscles and organs use the oxygen as food and then dump the waste–carbon dioxide–back into the blood. The blood then carries the carbon dioxide back to our lungs where it is pushed out as we exhale. But how do we keep getting new, clean oxygen to feed our muscles and organs? From plants. And where is the best place to get a TON of oxygen from plants? Outside!

So get outdoors and get active!
