Did you know the population of our planet is over 6 billion and growing every day? We need to figure out–and quickly–how to feed all the people who will inhabit the Earth. Scientists are trying to find solutions, but they can't seem to agree on how to go about it. The downside is that some of the farming methods being used–though they look OK today–may harm the environment and our health tomorrow.

How can you help?
There are many ways. But first, you need to understand what's going on. Have you ever wondered where all that food in your grocery store comes from? It comes from farmers! They grow and raise everything–wheat, corn, broccoli, herbs, vegetables, sugar cane, chickens, coffee, cows–you name it. Some of these foods are sold fresh–in the produce aisle or at the meat counter. But some of the foods are sold to manufacturers or processors who turn them into prepared foods like French fries, macaroni and cheese, or pizza. Then they are packaged and sold in your supermarket. So let's take a look at the source. The way some of our food is grown is cause for concern:
